Defensive Dinner

Tonight we had the whole defense over for dinner. It was a new tradition that we started this year and hope to continue for many years to come. The boys become more than players, they become your extended family, your adopted sons. Last year was so hard when we had to see so many of our Seniors leave. We have 6 playing college football and we could not be more proud of all that they have accomplished. This year is a smaller group of Seniors. They have had many challenges as a team this year. Coach and I could not be prouder of all they have accomplished. Good luck on the game tomorrow boys.

Party at the Ziemer's

We had a great time Saturday night at the Ziemer's annual Halloween bash. Blake went in his first bounce house, he also went down the big slide and on a hay ride. Aunt Lanelle made us lots of goodies and Aunt Michelle got to hold Reese for awhile. We all had a blast.

Time to carve the pumpkin

Sunday we carved Blake and Reese's first pumpkin. Reese sat in her chair and smiled time to time. Blake had a ball scooping the guts out and putting it all over dad's face.

that's our blake

A few night ago Blake did the cutest thing to date. He went and got one of Reese's diaper out of the diaper bag and brought it to me. Next he brought me his eeyore and told me to put the diaper on. He then rocked it to sleep. Attached is a pic of his diaper baby

Another girl in the house

Reese was born 8/11 at 8:04 in the morning. She was 8lbs 8oz and 21 in long. She was a little quiet when she first arrived but in no time we heard that beautiful cry that melts your heart. It is hard to believe that after 9 months she was finally here. It is even harder to believe that 2 months have past by at this point. She finally slept through the night last night. Blake is so cute with her. Tonight as we were playing with blocks on the floor and Reese was asleep in her chair, Blake walked over to her and rubbed her head and gave her a hug. It was just the sweetest thing.

Summer 2008

Blake's last summer as an only child. I wanted to spend as much time with Blake before Reese came. Blake had such a busy summer of going to the Library, gym, Sea World, Disney World, swim lessons, visit from Uncle Clay and Aunt Andra, visit from Great Grandpa Harley, Green Meadows farm and visits with both sets of Grandparents and finally a trip to Hutchinson Island.

The beginning

Today Jerrad sent me an email about how a friend of his has a blog page of the different things his family does. He said I should look at it. I asked Jerrad if he wanted one for our family and he said he would like that. Sooo this marks a new beginning. This year has been full of beginnings and blessings. We were blessed with our 2nd child (Reese), Blake took his first step, celebrated his 1st birthday, became a big brother, said his first 2 word phrase, celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary and it is only October.
